So one should be surprised to know that they can enjoy a delicious healthy dessert made with apples, yes, that\’s right and today we shall help you with a Gluten-Free Apple Crumble recipe.
The gluten-free version of the Apple Crumble recipe is loaded with the season’s best apples and topped with crisp chunks of apple spiced goodness.
So let us look at the Gluten-Free Apple Crumble recipe.
Crumble Topping
30 g of Almond Flour/ Coconut flour
1/4 of teaspoon xanthan gum
15 g of Erythritol
2-4 gms of ground cinnamon
1/8 teaspoon of freshly grated nutmeg
1/8 teaspoon of kosher salt
20 g of unsalted butter, melted and cooled.
Apple Filling
Two apples.
10 g of Almond Flour/ Coconut Flour
2 g of ground cinnamon
10 g of Erythritol
10 g of Almonds / Pecans
Instructions:
- Warm your oven to 350°F and grease a baking dish and set it aside.
- Primarily, prepare the crumble topping. Into a medium-sized bowl, place the flour, xanthan gum, erythritol, cinnamon, nutmeg and salt, and blend to combine, working out any lumps. Add the butter, and mix to combine well. This mixture will now become thick then place the bowl in the freezer to cool for about 10 minutes.
- Now to make the filling, in a large bowl, arrange the apple flour, erythritol, and cinnamon, and toss to combine well. Shift the apple mixture to the prepared baking dish, and spread them into an even layer. Divide the nuts evenly over the top of the apple filling. Transfer the crumble topping from the refrigerator and break it up into large chunks with a fork. Spread the topping in an even layer all over the top of the apple filling. Push gently on the crumble topping to ensure that it adheres to the filling.
- Pour the baking dish with aluminium foil and place it in the centre of the preheated oven. Cook for 25 minutes, remove the foil and continue to bake until the crumble topping is golden brown and the apples are fork tender (about another 20 minutes).
