This Atta Halwa is probably that one dessert which we have grown up eating by our mother’s hands. It was made very often in our kitchens. Ordinary atta halwa made with whole wheat flour, sugar, and ghee, doesn\’t go well with Keto right? So for the keto version, you only need these 3 ingredients to make atte ka halwa. So you can prepare the halwa made with almond flour or coconut flour and a low-carb sweetener of your preference.
Keto Atta Halwa Recipe-
Ingredients-
- 2 Cups of Blanched Almond flour
- 2 Cups of Full-fat milk or Coconut milk
- 1/4 Cup of Roasted coconut powder Optional
- 1-2 tbsp of Swerve (or any Sugar-free sweetener)
- 1/2 tsp of Cardamom powder
- 2 tbsp of Ghee or coconut oil
- Nuts and saffron to garnish
Instructions-
Roast the flour:
- Commence with cooking the flour on a low flame and then lightly roast the flour until the almond flour is fine and toasty. Now you will get a nutty fragrance from the flour once it’s roasted.
Cook the Flour in the Milk:
- Immediately add milk and give a good stir, from this point, you will have to prepare the halwa under low heat and constantly stir it at regular intervals.
- Continue stirring the halwa below low flame till it enhances into a thick, paste-like texture.
- Forthwith add sugar-free sweetener, and mix well and the keto version will get a light brown color because of the roasted coconut powder.
- So once the halwa starts to leave the pan, add ghee and cook it for some more time. Evermore serve the almond halwa warm and decorated with nuts and saffron.

- The nutty, keto atta halwa tarries fresh for up to 5 days in the refrigerator.
- Constantly retain to heat the halwa and help it warm. So if the halwa feels too dry, add few teaspoons of milk and reheat it before serving.
